Yes it would, anywhere but cas.
I don't comment on players usually, just thought it was a bit of a kick for our fans, and MC who I think has done alright by him over his time here.

| Welcome on board Semisoni.
He is a quality player, and will add depth to the centres and halves. He's also a pretty big unit too, so would think he could cover the back row in emergency.
I just hope the reasons why he gave a uturn on us last time are l in the past

He knew what he was doing when he went there, can't say I was ever that keen on him as a person anyway.
He came across quite sullen the few times I met him.
Onwards and Upwards!

| Quote PopTart="PopTart"For me it was worse that he went to Cas.
But the more realistic part of me says he has to go where the offer is.'"
Exactly.
We wanted to retain him on reduced terms.
He was offered improved terms at Cas. I don’t think he will have had too many other options so looking out for himself and his family in what was more than likely going to be his last opportunity to get a large contract in his rugby career then he had to make that choice.
I think as fans we sometimes forget that these lads do this as a job and have to take the emotion out of it. If they were set for life after hanging up the boots it would be a different story, but they are not.
Seen a few comments about Milky saying he did well out if the club, but it works both ways and the club didn’t do too badly out of him.
Same principle applies to Langi, his situation changed last year which resulted in his decision to turn his back on the deal. The deal has been done this year for a quality player who brings plenty to the table and hopefully early on can change the minds of those holding a grudge with his performances.

| Langi brings something else too.
MNy overseas players take time to adjust to Super League and the weather.
He's already been through that so he should be good to go.

He was actually offered improved terms in the end from what I gather.
However it was too late in the day and he went because he’d already verbally accepted Cas terms. Honourable enough.
Truth is negotiating is a gamble and we’re not bad at it but on this occasion we probably misread the situation. You win some you lose some.
My worry with Miller FWIW is how well he my go at Cas, imo his style of play suits them. But who knows, it’s done now.

In the interview I've seen with Miller he doesn't mention money. He said after 8 years he felt things had got a bit stale and knowing this would be his last contract he thought a change would freshen him up. Says he's enjoying new training methods and team mates.

He’s not gonna say he hates it is he?
That getting stale comment is ironic coming from someone who ran out of attacking ideas and has no kicking game.

Of course he would say that AFTER the deal had been finalised. Miller would have bit MC's hand off to stay at Wakey for three more years on the same terms he was offered at Cas. Half the fans would have loved that, half would have gone ape .

It was about money and he had a point. That’s just flim flam. Not saying there isn’t a grain of truth in the comment but that doesn’t make it the reason.

| I was told that once our safety was secured we even discussed paying a transfer fee to get Miller out of the contract at Cas. How serious that was, or whether we actually got that far, I don't know.

| Makey showed enormous amounts of faith in Miller and he capped all over them.
His playing record ain't great one good game out of 4 doesn't cut it and when your other contributions are below average he's been lucky.
He seemed intend of moving on and I'm prity sure Cas was his only option.
For a present Trinity captain to even contamplate such a movie speakers volumes.
