The thing that annoys me is that when he came on board I distinctly remember him stating that, "His door is always open" (It wasn't), He "would act honestly" (that's been debatable), and during the final period of his tenure his only engagement with the fans appears to be when he wants money off them. I'm not over sad that he will be leaving.

As much as relegation hurts, the money had to go where IMG and their silly little point scheme dictated it go. Belle View may still be a bit rusty in certain areas but others look tons better than even just over a year ago. The board clearly worked to increase our point score and make some of the changes we had been promising for years but never delivered on. These changes were made to ensure we stand a chance of being in the top division when the point system comes in and I applaud them for that. Yes the team was poor, but if we get back up due to the ground improvements I think people may start to regret their negativity towards the current men in charge.

The ground alone will not support a return to SL, we have to also gain enough points on the other sections of the strategy.

Which as you know they have also done.

Yes but so will other clubs so just like me you will just have to wait and see.

You can add as many "yes buts" as you like but we are in a much better place than we were because of the improvements to the stadium and the work done to make the finances more favourable.

And you don't have to wait and see. You can go through the handbook and try andcwork out other teams scores.

It's alright scoring all these points and the money it costs, but what about the thing that really matters, The Team, and the product on the field. Not much good getting a A with a duff team.

All this for 12 elite teams, when the grass roots of the game is in a terrible state.

I know you did for us and misinterpreted a section. I am certainly not going to look at every other club because who knows what next season will bring.

I agree, it's ridiculous. I was trying to explain it to two football fans last night and they thought I was taking the mick. Points for an electronic scoreboard, advertising, flood lights etc. etc.
