Just got back from the Reserves game. The upper North Stand is spot on, simple but just what we needed. Looks very tidy.

The lower tier by comparison is abysmal. Never really noticed how poor the terracing is, and doesn't look even at any point.

The West Terrace is improved dramatically by moving the dugouts, and if we could get those awful boxes down and run the covered Stand all the way down it wouldn't be too bad at all. Obviously it'd need a bit more elevation, but doesn't seem as bad as it did watching the Halifax game.

Did North stand upper look like it could be open for Catalans game?

For season ticket holders.

I didn't think so, not fully. Barriers were finished half way across, and there looked to be quite a bit if tidying up to do around it. But I've no idea how quick they can get these things done so I could be wrong.

The current info is that it will be partially open with sufficient space for that sections season ticket holders.

Yes been down there today ,the actual terracing is much better condition than the lower part of the North Stand. It's a pity that the idiotic council were so brain dead as to build it so shallow.

How long have we had the shallow terracing because like many things fashions and legislation change overtime.

The terracing in question was built when the old main stand was demolished. If it had only been re built like the end little bit under the bus shelter all it would have needed is a simple roof along the full length and it would have been more than adequate.

I attended a function at BV this afternoon, and can report that one section of the terrace girders have been filled with what appeared to be concrete terracing. There is also brickwork being done at various locations around the stand, also the Steel framework just above the terrace girders are now being fitted with panels (possibly pre cast concrete). I could see working being done with barriers fitted inside the North Stand, but the barrier along the extreme rear of new terrace doesn’t seem to have been extended since the last photos on here. It’s looking good.
