French is wasted on the wing in my opinion. Miski and Marshall need to play when we have a fully fit squad.
Both will get us on the front foot due to their ability in contact to either make yards or find their front and get a quick play the ball.
French doesn’t do that when he is on the wing, he tends to get dominated and closed down and lacks the physicality in the return carry on the edge, but the extra space he gets at 1 where he can use his footwork and pace against middle chasers is next level.
The problem is that Field and French are both box office but both are also suited to playing full back and consequently we have a conundrum. Ideally, it would be better if one of our marquee players was a half back.
Have to echo the thoughts regarding King. He was brilliant last night. As soon as he got his first touch of the ball you could see he was brimming with confidence. That's the Toby King everybody wanted in their side 3 years ago. If Peet can coax that out of him consistently we have to be trying to strike a deal with Warrington. Wardle isn't hitting the straps yet but you can see it's there. I've got no problem playing the waiting game with him. And for the love of god let Brad O'Neill play next week.
Great result and a dominant performance. Some good luck at key times but you had the match-winners to take advantage of it when it came along.
Thought Havard was sensational. It is a shame that Peet appears to have worked out that Cust and Singleton are so poor as I used to ejoy seeing them named in the side. Though Brad O'Neill showed some really good signs too.
Shame for Field - you want all the stars on the pitch for games like Good Friday but can only be good news for Saints that he is out.

Made the mistake of have a look at Red Vee. Everyone talking about the “Great News” of Field damaging his hamstring.
Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions
Good to see Havard getting the plaudits, the hard work is paying off. He does all the simple things really well.
Reminds me of a young Stuart Fielden, upright running style and gets over the top of the defender. Massive potential and seems like he has the right attitude to go with it.
We didn't half need a performance like that. Great result. Our forwards were excellent, really impressed. Looks like Miski will get a run in the team now, which is 100% deserved. Smith ran the game, hopefully that'll give him some confidence after a bit of a shaky start to the season.
Gave me confidence that we'll be well up there this season. Looking forward to the next few weeks, backs against the wall losing a few players, bring it on.

I keep looking at 2 players in Havard and Brad O’Neill and 2 players they should be looking at spring to mind. I’d be telling Havard to watch any footage of Fielden he can find, to just see where he can get to with some extra intensity in his game and O’Neill should be watching Terry Newton on loop, to see not only how clever he was around the ruck, but also that all the small effort areas really take you to that next level. Newton was a master of supporting around the middle and when you have French and Field in the side, you’re going to get plenty of opportunities to push on breaks. I’m not saying either are at that level or can get to that level but there’s similarities in their shape/athletic attributes and there’s loads of improvement in them.

Cesspit.
Ignore it I’m sure a minority of Wigan fans have the same feeling when a Saints player is injured. Big loss for us but we’re still in with a good chance. Saints have been as clunky as us and if we throw it round like last night that will cause problems. Plus Saints pen record atm is unlike them. Not that we want to win off the back of pens but we ain’t ripping up trees atm and looking at these 3 games we were looking at 3 losses.
