It’s quite simple Bongser. He first played RL and registered for a British club in his youth.

Ok, so Lachy born in Sydney 1998, Dad played for the Pies 2001-2004. Young Lachy played junior Rugby for St Pats hence available (I think not).
The Federation stuff was designed for people who joined academies (aged16-21) attached to Professional clubs.

If Leigh can squeeze this through it will be a minor miracle but it would help us out tremendously.

He must have been registered to play for St Pats. Regardless of age. It has nothing to do with academies.

A Non-Federation trained player is a player who was not trained by an RLEF (Rugby League European Federation) member club for three years before the age of 21.

The question is did Lachy get 3 seasons in at St Pats starting at age 3 or 4. Maybe started junior Rugby aged 6 so probably not.

Given his background, it is quite possible that Lachlan trained and played for 3 years aged four five and six. We will find out before too long.

Is St Pats a RLEF(Rugby League European Federation) member club? Another question we don't know the answer to.
England and the RFL are Full members of the RLEF, but are all amateur clubs part of the RFL? All will be revealed.

St Pats is presumably a BARLA team. What we don't know is whether BARLA are under the RFL's umbrella. With the head honchos gone does anyone at the RFL know?

Which overseas players are already signed up for 2023 and how many spots have we left? Lam, Ipape and Ferguson announced any others confirmed? Which others do we wish and expect to keep?

Nene, Amone and Asiata (the latter dependent on promotion to Bongser's understanding) are signed up. Wish we could keep the rest!
