Is Aaron Smith a Leigh player? Where was his signing announced?

He's in the list on the presentation. One year contract.

Wow wasn’t expecting that. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. I hope we can get our traditional colours in there some how. No surprises in the signing announcements apart from Hardacker as he wanted to be nearer home. Sad to see Aikens and Stone go, hopefully it was their decision to go.

Couple of great signings and a really solid squad. No one likes a name change but see the marketing opportunities going forward especially for kids. Would like to red and white version of the kit. Excited to seem them run out together.

Overseas Quotas - From Clickbait central (SeriousAboutRL)
"Leigh Centurions: 1
Leigh have seven off-contract players who would take up quota spots but only six signed on for 2023. MacDonald is likely to leave and make it 2 spaces left whilst Lachlam Lam could be taken off the quota spots having spent some youth development in the UK. This would leave the Centurions with three spots most of which would likely go to the seven off-contract players."

Make what you will of that. At present Leigh appear to have Lam, Amone, Ipape, Ferguson, Asiata, and McDonald lined up.

The only way that Lam can qualify is due to special dispensation by the RFL. Personally, I hope they grant him special dispensation as SL needs good players.

At last, some kind of emotion from the club about a player leaving. Go Well, Sam Stone (not against Leigh of course). The club should have waved all the players off who served the club in a very memorable season, especially Kristian Emu (as the announcer likes to call him).
