Wasn’t a moan of such , just an observation, I got all moaned out under the Lucas era but that’s another story for another thread.
Wouldn’t expect too much news on signings until pre season starts and like already mentioned when fixtures /ST news Kit Launch is in full flow around Christmas time.

There are rumours gathering pace that you are taking Oliver Holmes off our hands at wire. I find it slightly strange seeing as he's always moaning about 'living on the wrong side of the pennines'.

Yes, Lam & Chester seem to know what they are doing but is Bongser the only one worried that Leigh seem to be taking onboard so many players from a Warrington club that had its worst season for yonks this year, even finishing below Wakey?

Absolutely.

Robbie Mulhern - Age 27 - 6ft 3" - Chequered history, going out on loan, but has got some international caps to his name. Was one of the better Warrington forwards at the end of last season.
Jack Hughes - Age 30 - 6ft 1" - I believe was Warrington Captain - 274 SL games for Pies, Giants and Wolves. 5 caps to his name.
Matt Davis - Age 26 - 5ft 10" Hard working utility forward, suggests he does not excel in one position. I was told he is "a trier".
Oliver Holmes - Age 30 - 5ft 11" - 252 SL games - 2 years left on contract but available to go. 3 International caps.

They all have the right age profile for Lam, if not the height. The retained members of the pack are Amone, Ipape, Wardle and Asiata. There will be more need for forward rotation this season but if anything, we are still light on Props.

Warrington's biggest issue was a lack of go forward from the pack, and we are interested in 4 members of that pack. I am sure Lammy and Chezzy have seen enough to think they can revitalise their careers.

The model of getting seasoned pros with a point to prove has worked for Salford under Rowley , every faith that Lam and Chester can replicate. Far from wanting players 30+ I think we just need to get in a position to stay up season 1. Build a team to stay in SL relatively safe from relegation and build from there. I know Derek has stated Challenge Cups and SL Grand Finals in 3-5 years and that can only be applauded but I’m more than happy to just get up and stay up.

.....and that seems to be a worry for the rational posters on the Holmes thread on the Wolves forum: "Imagine the meltdown if we're beaten by Warrington B next season," or some such.

Powell's Cas team were amazing in 2017 in winning the Leaders Shield but it then possessed a version of Luke Gale that had been simmering nicely for a couple of seasons and then came to the boil. Man of Steel that season, played throughout the RLWC, downhill since to mirror Cas.

Powell became unpopular there and is so at Wire. Is Lam more of a man manager? We'll see - but only if the speculation proves true for once!

I believe we are in for a 'Monster' Kiwi, but will only be known after the World Cup.

Be interesting to see if we have the quota space left, but based on what has been stated, we do lack size IMHO.
