Nobody is worth backing other than Saints, Leeds or Wigan.

Exactly. Same has been the case for 17 years since Superleague X in 2005 or all but 4 seasons in 24 years.

No chance. They are losing players at the moment and there's talk of Croft getting out this year never mind next. I'd be very surprised if they're as good next season as they were at the end of this.

Go on then, who are we losing?

Burke, Wells and Luckley have been confirmed. Who else is going?

Burke & Wells were squad fillers and Luckley has been replaced by Partington.

Can't say I've heard any of the Croft talk. Who's your source for that?

Skybet have Lebanon at -4 against Wales tomorrow. I've no idea if Lebanon are playing their first choice, but the Wales squad is one of the weakest I've ever seen.

That’s an impressive looking Samoa squad though. Don’t think they’ve had a warm up game though, which may put England in good stead.

Sorry if this is a really stupid question but i never bet so i'm unsure. But as we are 8/1, does that mean for every £8 you put down you'll make £1 on it. Or the other way round, you'll make £8 back for every £1 you put down. I always get muddled.

8/1 means for every £1 you stake you would win £8 plus your original £1, so a return of £9.

If a selection was 1/8 then in that scenario you would have to stake £8 to win £1.

Lump on England to win at 6/5. The Samoan team might look impressive on paper but their backs won't seem as amazing without Nathan cleary playing alongside them.

2023 Super league Betting
GF Outright

Saints 2/1
Wigan 4/1
Leeds 8/1

£10 on saints
£5 on Wigan
£5 on Leeds

Saints win you get £20 + £10 stake back - £10 lost stakes = £20
Wigan Win you get £20 + £5 stake back - £15 lost stakes = £10
Leeds win you get £40 + £5 stake back - £15 lost stakes = £30

Or is my maths wrong?
