The problem is, the people who say go with Dean or Hayes, as they need to be given a chance, will be the same people who will want Powell gone after the 6 game trial period he's supposedly been set.

I'm not saying they shouldn't have a fair chance, but having a novice half back, at the time his job is supposedly on the line, just seems like career suicide for Powell.

They wouldn't be novices if Powell grew a pair and played one of em on a regular basis instead of chopping and changing

As we are unfortunately aware, there are games when Gigot looks world class.

Even at Catalans those games were few and far between. Even more so now. A huge no from me.

There are a lot more games where he's a sulking petulant terrible influence

Or shoehorning Ratchford and Matautia into the halves instead.

Personally I wouldn't give Powell 6 games. For me he should have gone (sacked) after the Toulouse win.
But hey it's his team now & what a shambles he has put together. The Backs look all over the place (with square pegs trying to fill round holes) & most of the Forwards are on their way here, How will they react to the Powell regime?
I see another tough season ahead for the Team & the fans with an early change of Coach never the best idea but almost certain to happen based on the players we are likely to have available & Powells inability to get them fit enough or motivated enough to compete & hopefully win matches.
I will, however, be buying a season ticket & (once again) be hoping for the best. How far are we away from St Helens? 8 or 10 miles?
No, a million miles at least!!!

Isn't it becoming a bit tedious how the 'Powell Out' brigade seemingly manage to gatecrash every thread with their negative views??.... 8)

I agree so let's move on from it on this thread.

As far as Gigot is concerned it's a NO from me whether you think he's a 'cheap punt' or not he doesn't tick any boxes at all IMO

We need Williams at 6, and a 7 with a top kicking game.
