I'm genuinely curious to know the context of this conversation - was this said during some official fan's forum, or was this loose talk after a few pints with a few mithering fans, looking for an exclusive to brag about later to their mates?
If it was the former, then I can accept that to an extent. If it was the latter, then it's simply unforgivable and Fitzpatrick needs firing immediately.
Definitely the latter, it was 10 ish on Sunday night in Warrington town centre. Granted there were friends in common between his group and mine, but still it was just lads in a bar chatting.

Again….the bloke is a clown and was promoted WAY above his experience and capabilities. I’m even boring myself now let along you lot……enough from me, I need a lie down.
The days of hearing club business down the pub, or from your local taxi driver really should have ended decades ago. It probably highlights why we are seen as such an amateur run enterprise.

Then one of 2 things probably needs to happen here,
1. Unless this is an arrangement between Powell and the club, that Powell is happy to have used as juicy info around the bars of the town, then I think Powell's role is no longer tenable, and to maintain any self-respect, he needs to resign.
2 Fitzpatrick needs to be sacked, purely on the basis that it's becoming increasingly clear that he hasn't the skills to hold such an important job.
Personally, for the club to be taken seriously, then option 2 HAS to be the choice and it should be done immediately.

I imagine the club is probably aware of employment law and is unlikely to sack somebody on the basis of an anonymous comment on an online forum.
What’s even more interesting is that KFP seems to have read the ‘How long does Powell have?’ thread on this forum and based his ‘6-game’ policy on the general consensus of the fans. Now we know the power we have, let’s start a thread on the catering.

Item #127 on the list of things that need improvement, the list is sorted into numerical order also.
Andy Gatcliffe was the guy for me - didn't spend his life talking to the media, just got on with things behind the scenes and made the club more professional on and off the field.
Exactly. Saints have Mike Rush as their CEO. No gimmicks they do the talking on the field.
Saints play in finals every year and very rarely pick a wrong coach, Cunningham an exception. That must of been a heart before head decision. Is that why they haven’t named Wellen’s as yet, even though I am expecting it.

If you owned a very high profile company though, and one of your senior employees was rumoured to be revealing company policy during weekend p!$s-ups with his mates and, most importantly, are doing so to potential customers of your company, wouldn't you be slightly concerned though, especially as the policy appears to be one that is undermining arguably the most important employee at your company?
Now, my initial response is obviously based on Barbed Wire's claim being true and its likely that they will be treating claims like this as total b0ll0cks. But, and its a large but, if it were true, then action would have to be taken - that's all I was basing my posts on.
