Quote CW8="CW8"Was he involved with the Emirates shirt deal? That was great work to be fair, although the team and club was a lot more marketable back then. Get the team performances right and the crowds and sponsorship opportunities will follow (note the team we had playing in the bensons for beds kits does go against this statement). The CEO has a much easier job if he has a successful team as a backdrop to all of their dealings.'"
Nope he didn't, I know Emirates were cutting back on sponsorship but apparently draper's stewardship didnt even try yo convince them to hang around as sponsors.
This was surprising as he wanted to go all in with them, and get rid of every other advertising partner in the stadium, so it looked cleaner.
He spent a lot of money on consultants, and on a website that's as good/bad as the previous one.
I'll keep pointing this out when ppl point out that kf is an unqualified unsuitable ceo.(he may be).
But we had the longstanding chair person of the LTA who was given the boot, and also the fella that brought Wembley in horrendously over budget.
He left us in a position financially, left here quickly for a bigger job and then left sl/rfl quickly for another job.
He was 'qualified', just seemed to be very good at spending other peoples money.
