I've no idea whether or not there is any truth to the rumour but it wouldn't be a disaster if we signed him for the remainder of the season. He would presumably be signed as cover and he’s probably a better option than putting a young prop on the bench only to then either not use him or else see him get knocked on his behind. |

This frees up cap space and a quota spot, in a position that we are very strong in.
new centre instead please.

It would have been great to have had Mikaele for longer, as he's only in his mid-20s and has still got lots of good years ahead of him. But let's hope he gets a warm reception from the fans and a great send-off on Saturday.

Looks like Lui isn't happening, but the club looking at a 'like for like' replacement (no direct quote from the club though) with a transfer fee incoming from Gold Coast. The obvious option would be a replacement from the NRL, I just wonder whether they would use the transfer fee to look at someone already in SL, if we can sign a non quota replacement that would be ideal.

I'd rather we spend the money on a quality centre. We're fine for forwards. This will be Ma'tautia's last year, Ratchford on the decline, Wrench still unavailable. It's clear to see we're in need of a centre for this season and beyond. |
