I agree with the latter.
I was brought up with the mantra "sticks and stones" so I don't believe naughty words on a pitch deserve more of a ban than smashing into a head with an elbow or shoulder. Especially words that were common place in the British lexicon until recently (indeed it is a medical term).
However this is the world as it now stands and we can't be paying cap space for a player that is banned more often than he plays.
Of course I hope he did not do what he was accused of.
