Wales did overproduce based on their player pool, and they did look very well coached. Not sure he is the answer but he did better than Wane did.

England scored 26 points which should have been enough to win the game, we didn't defend well enough particularly on the edges. Sneyd would have made that worse. Sadly three or four players had their worse games of the competition.

The tries that hurt us were down the right hand side because a certain second rower was no where to be seen instead of helping his centre. Remind who that was again?

If Steve McNamara can't come back to the England fold there is only one man for the job.

The master at getting the best out of a team thrown together on scarce resources especially in knock out football - he has the silverware to prove it.

...John Kear.

They should be looking to get prize him off Widnes and Wales.

He did well last time he had the role.

Only thing you need to be reminded of is to take your meds

Where was the halfback?

Right where he should have been. Just had to defend against 2 men because of a second rower who kept on going missing

I hate to agree with Jean/Lebron/whoever but he's correct, as bad as Welsby & Watkins were they were not helped by Bateman not holding his position in the defensive line, I understand his desire to come inside and help out but you've got to be more disciplined, hold your line and trust the lads inside to do their job.
That said, Welsby really needs to look at himself for his lack of effort in and after the tackle for that second try. Very ordinary.

It was even more important for Bateman to defence support when Welsby picked up that hand injury around the 69th minute were he struggled a bit to catch and pass. Wane should have noted the requirement for that edge, but what did he do……bring McLlorum back on to 9 in the middle.

Welsby had his scan last week and avoided a fracture to the hand. I agree about Welsby ball watching at marker for that second Samoa try, pretty poor that.

Its a good job no other player gave a interception pass, dropped the ball from a kick, missed a tackle, gave a forward pass, knocked on etc etc.

Its a team game not a blame game, stop looking for faults we all saw some mistakes from different players from different teams not just the one.
Its so boring and tedious now,we lost, move on and look forward to a new season and hopefully more internationals.

Nah mate, I can accept mistakes from players, but IMO poor defensive discipline from one of your experienced players and poor effort play from any player deserves calling out.
They're still both top quality players but if England want to compete at the top level those are the areas they need to tidy up.
