Limehouse Lizzy (Manchester Academy 3) & T Rextasy (Warrington Parr Hall) in the past couple of weeks.

Both remain top notch tribute bands.

Whitesnake, Foreigner and Europe at Newcastle Arena last weekend.

A chance to see my favourite front man / vocalist (Sir David of Coverdale) one last time on the Farewell Tour.

This has to be the worst organised venue I have ever attended with many of those attending missing some or all of Europe's set because it took over 45 minutes to get from the foot of the steps outside the entrance doors to actually inside the venue. FFS the capacity is only 11,000 !!!

Eagles at Anfield (last Monday).

I preferred seeing them last time at Leeds Arena but it was still a very enjoyable (if a little cramped) evening.

There seemed to be more Joe Walsh fronted stuff this time which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Rammstein at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff recently ...

I don't understand 90+% of the lyrics but ... it sounds great, it looks great, it's a fantastic show ... boy can they entertain!

Excellent!

Forgot to mention ...

The Struts at Leeds Stylus at the end of July ...

Great tunes, great singer, great entertainment! Surely destined for much bigger things.

10cc at Sheffield City Hall last night. All the hits plus a few extra tunes. Very entertaining.

Billy Idol supported by Killing Joke and Toyah at Leeds Arena earlier this week.

Enjoyed Billy Idol, it's been nearly 30 years since I last saw him at MK Bowl (with Bon Jovi).

30 minutes of Toyah was perfectly acceptable but I just couldn't get on with Killing Joke and the fact that they don't do Love Like Blood didn't help.

The Pretty Reckless yesterday evening at Manchester Academy (1).

The first time I have seen Taylor Momsen & Co although I have been listening to them for some time and view them as pretty much in a similar vein to Halestorm (not a bad thing).

Limehouse Lizzy (again) last night at the Leopard, Doncaster ... does what it says on the tin ... but they really are too big for this venue these days.
