Reading one of the articles in Oz about the incident, they claim Bentley's trying to line up an NRL gig but some clubs baulked because of his discipline issues making him a risk. They also said that Bentley and Wane were having a row that started with Bentley having a dig about not being picked for England and Bradley stepped in to headbutt Bentley to defend Wane. Bradley has got in trouble before on the drink though, so who knows who was to blame.

The trick is to avoid getting wound up yourself. He may have done well in the play offs but as a neutral he looks like a loose cannon from other games I've seen. He's getting himself a reputation and that's not good. For all Bailey's pantomime villainy, he rarely got caught doing head high tackles.

Hopefully Bentley isn't going to be our next Hardaker. I couldn't help feeling a bit uneasy when the two of them seemed to be getting on well together in some of the footage at the end of last season - we don't want too many kindred spirits of that kind. But maybe I'm being too hard on Bentley - he won't be the last Leeds player to get involved in a bit of fisticuffs from time to time. Maybe Chev can have a word?

Some might say he rarely got caught making any kind of tackles in the latter part of his Leeds career

I don't think his will go anywhere as there will be no appetite to carry on talking about this once the world cup is over. The story will naturally die a death. They cannot pursue Bentley without addressing the other issues raised around the England squad. The police were not involved he has no known previous for off field misbehaving.The aussie press may go after Radley because he chose England over Australia and he also has previous however don't see how you can start issuing sanctions for off field issues when no arrests or charges are made. There will be issues happened at every club in pubs across the country. A good legal councel would get any ban for Bentley dismissed immediately. It does not excuse his stupidity for puting himself in the situation

It’s a good thing people don’t care about it over here. If it had been Southgate it’s be scandal of the century.

Boys will be boys. Clip round the ear and a bag of sweets will suffice. Unless someone was critically injured in the confrontation. Then you might have to look at docking a weeks wages.

Rugby League news is pretty slow at this time of year apart from the RL World Cup of course and the Aussie media have a job to do after all.
They already have a big red cross on Radley's head from his previous mis demeanours and can't wait to lynch him, So now looks like an ideal opportunity for them.

I'll bet that I have seen far more news worthy indiscretions between Leeds RL players in the Town Hall Tavern and Stoggy's Bar on Burley road during the 1990's than this storm in a tea cup affair
The mad Monday club in Stoggy's was legendary
