I also really hope Leeds have started looking at HBs for 2023+ too.

Both Austin and Sezer highly likely to leave us at the end of next season.

Back to square one in terms of halves? We need some depth there. That's for sure.

A bit like Rocking horse poop though aren't they.

I think Sinfield will come along a fair bit next year, although it will still be a year or two too early for him by 2024.

I would like a top rated Aussie half back for 2024 or even one that's just out of favour (a Hastings or Croft type)

It does also depend on how Austin and Sezer go next year, either of them could play themselves into a another deal.

I'd be happy to keep Austin and Sezer if they have good seasons and stay reasonably fit. There's not many available HBs in 2024 better than those 2.

I think there is a SL merry go round on centres about to break. Dean Whare and Leutele at the heart of it. And has Jake Wardle actually signed for Wire yet?
Wigan have got Toby King but are after another.
Huddersfield have got Marsters, Bibby and Naiqama coming in.
McDonald is another moving part in all this plus Zak if we can’t keep him.
Leigh, Leeds, Wigan and Catalan and I guess Wire are after centres, I bet there is a lot of horse trading going on now.

He's a match winner still no doubt, he played a huge part in turning our season around. Not signing him up would be a huge loss imo,huge. His defence is top drawer, he's a class fulback and centre, he can create tries from nowhere, he's a top goal kicker, he's british so no quota issues. Massive player.

Agree. Thought both were top drawer at the business end of the season.

All what ifs and maybes of course. I'd think at the very least one of Austin or Sezer will be leaving us.

Just hope we are working on HB options. Even if they are a lower league/younger option. We lack depth there and have done for far too long.

I think every squad lacks depth at HB, we don’t seem good at producing top quality half backs in this country at the moment.

When was the last time we did develop a lot of quality halfbacks? Probably the 1960s. Leeds haven't produced any of SL quality since Luke Gale was a Leeds junior. Sinfield may develop into one but he's 2-3 years away from being that standard even if he makes it. Next year Myler will probably be first reserve - and given both Austin and Sezer miss a fair few games that means a reserve is likely to play quite a few games.

I think if we sign McDonald and Hardaker, we haven't done bad business.
Yeh, a few projects in there.
And would have liked another starting prop.
But our hands are tied until Prior and Tetevano go.
Myler will be first choice HB back up.
2023 looks like plugging some gaps.
2024 looks more like squad overhaul.

But I still think there's a question mark around Fusitua.
I still think some of our plans depend on what he's doing.
