Was pleased to see callum webster playing at all, looked like he picked up a bad injury playing for oulton against cas panthers a couple of week ago, thought it was going to be a long term one at the time, so was relieved to see him on the team sheet.

Mentioned him as someone to look out for on the scholorship thread a few week ago, he's got brilliant explosion and movement/balance ability.

Thought a lot of our 15's shone last night, excellent group with plenty of depth and some some real standouts. As always, just hope they keep progressing.

Does anyone know if Jack Sinfield's brother has also inherited some of his Dad's ability? Probably too much to ask

Flip, that’s walking distance from where I grew up …..!
Oh the memories. Played junior football on that front pitch, or tha back two pitches , or anywhere. Are the big communal baths still in the changing rooms? Pretty much my first memory of playing amateur sport! Just thought how bizarre, and also how cool it was for us all to jump in the warm soothing water.
Sometimes I’m overcome thinking back…….

The Giants now own that site as their training ground and was starting to do it up last year.

Thanks for the info. The first house I lived in was actually the other end of town half way up York Avenue (steep Hill avenue).
You could walk out the back field and look straight down onto Fartown old stadium. Never knew its name. Maybe that’s why I have RL in my blood as no other connection.
I spend a lot of time looking back these days and my heart bleeds. A lot that was pure is now gone. I was only 3 when we left that house but I remember those days Days more vividly than yesterday! My sisters and I tearing down he field with me strapped onto the back of the hopper. How I wish you could freeze time…….
Nobody really had anything in early 80’s but we were all alot happier without all the money traps and retail greed…
Am I rambling…….need to stop this…….
