| they wanted £20m for Diaz but with 1 year left on his contract nobody would take the gamble. it's a big jump, especially for a striker

| Sure I saw a comment from Leeds saying they'd looked at Diaz but didn't think he'd replicate his goal scoring in the PL. That's fine for me. Like a game of poker, you can't go in on every hand

| Thought I`d seen Blackburn turned down 12 million but 14/15 might have done the trick.

| Great squad today. Strong 11, with a bench with lots of options

| One of those days when nothing went right. Llorente is a calamity, and so is VAR

| llorente is a shambles of a player. truly awful. surely cooper will play next monday.
bamford, rusty or not, is half the threat tony is. we need a threat up top.
VAR. where do I start? this tef never impressed in the championship. he was next to the foul which led to the penalty and gave nothing. VAR is for obvious errors. ut took 5 minutes of checking so it wasnt that obvious.
take VAR and the ref ignoring a clear pull back on Somerville in the box and you despair.
lots of top refs retired last year. a lit if this new crop are bloody awful.

| Fortunately I missed the game due to being at Headingley.
Saw the highlights and thought we should have had a pen.
Llorente at fault for 3 goals and did I read Bamford missed from 1 yard out!!?
When will the penny drop that since last season we have needed a striker with or without Bamford.
Toney shows us what we have been missing.
Surely Cooper plays next match.

| more alarming was marsch saying he didnt want james to go but to sign one another had to go. the net spend has been peanuts.
are we so hard up? I like this board, they've taken us a long way but it might be the time for the 49ers to step in

| Yes it`s a bit worrying that our hopes were raised when we were looking at spending 40 million.
Only to now find out we needed to offload someone before bringing in another.
I can only see us scrapping it out at the bottom come April unless we bring in 2 or 3 more players of quality.
Sounds a lot like last year!
