Tbf Swansea looked great in bits, broke up our play well, moved at pace and looked a threat up front all game.

Thought we also played some brilliant football even under some good pressing by Swansea. Hernandez’s goal was a beauty, such a confident flowing move.

Hopefully Bielsa is given the backing he wants in the transfer market to strengthen, but I can’t believe the turnaround in standards and play so early with basically the same squad as last year.

Impressed so far but the proof of the pudding will be when they play that type of football twice a week and in wet and heavy conditions.

Considering we lost Cooper in the warm up, that was a good result. Although there's definitely an added backbone to this team that wasn't there last year.

I know. He’s repeatedly said he doesn’t need anyone there though. He prefers the versatility of ayling, berradi, Phillips and forshaw. It seems even more strange to me though as Cooper is hardly a top championship CB, he should be a back up really.

Would have been good to get Bartley back or even Williams who got sent off last night I know.
I see Villa are adding a couple of good signings to what is already a strong squad.

As are Middlesbrough.. we need to strengthen we have a fantastic opportunity to go up with the best manger in the championship by a long way
