Terry just on Springer I have explained it before but i’ll do so again.

Absolutely correct in what you said about SG liking him, signing him, working with him etc and him wanting to be here but it’s wasn’t about known bad habits or dislikes outweighing the likes.

Initially everything was fine then from one game it all went downhill.

The loss away at Oldham that year was on a par with Sunday’s at Barrow ironically by the same 16-12 scorline.

Of course there was a post match debrief and during that the areas of concern were highlighted first on team performance and then on individual performance and several players were talked to, all this was perfectly normal and what everyone was used to.

One of those players was Gadwin who during the game had conceded a number of penalties whilst in possession for not playing the ball correctly and for pushing out at the marker.

SG quite rightly pointed it out the right way saying penalties are killing us and when in possessions it’s poor form but Springer took it the wrong way and it all escalated from there leading quickly to him leaving and that's basically it.
I don't know if you are being patronizing or not but i will give you the benefit of the doubt . As for your response i would ask you where do you get this info from to do with with what Simon said to Gadwin after the Oldham game. I would be interested to know because everything that i have said on the matter came after a conversation i had with Gadwin in person. I am not saying that you are completely wrong some of what you say is true but there is always 2 sides to this.

He makes it up and accuses others of lieing, being keyboard warriors, or cowards. He's probably trawling through past posts as we speak to find a snippet to twist. On another note i would have liked to have kept Springer but he's not half the player Gwaze is. In my humble opinion of course. :D

Yes Gwaze was very impressive for us last season and by the sounds of things he is carrying on in the same manner at Sheffield Just a shame we could not keep him.

Not being patronising at all I simply didn’t know if you had seen my previous post or if it was before you joined the forum.

I am not going to name names in public without them being present but my info comes from within, including several other players from that game and what happened immediately after it including a couple who got a rollocking as well as Gadwin and they were vexed off with their own performance.

Also it doesn’t make sense for Grix to sign someone and then start messing him around just because of a few mistakes along the way and there is absolutely no way SG would try and intimidate any player especially someone like Gadwin.

So from what I know and from what is out there the time frame is, he joined in November 2020, the Oldham game was early May 2021( and the video of the game is still available and you can see all the errors by GS and the others ) he was released and signed for Fev sometime in July so there were 7 months of normality a couple of months of friction and then he moved on.

Dead right about two sides and my gripe / frustrations are with anyone who has no info from either side and then makes a 100% wrong conclusion which is always against the coach.
Neither of us can be certain of what happened in full but at least what we’ve said isn’t just a guess or has been made up.

Whether you want to post what Gadwin had to say is your call.

His inflated salary doesn’t seem to be affecting his teammates too much either...just another poor judgement call on our part.

I appreciate your response and think it is best we leave it at that and look forward to the game on sunday. And enjoy your time away.
