Any more signings : Fri Nov 25, 2022 3:45 pm
Any more signings expected or is that it ? Not seen anything seems very quiet this off season up to normal where the likes off Keighley Bradford Sheffield are making noise

We kept the majuro f last years team so we have only made a few new signings. The other team you mentioned are Siam’s new players as the squads they had last season were not very good, except Keighley who will have to be stronger this year. I wouldn’t worry about other teams.

From what I can make of it there are still the re signings of both Matty Gee and Salty to be confirmed and with the club having plenty of notice that Greg Worthington would be moving on you would have thought they would have been looking at options / someone to replace him in the centres which wouldn't be relying on Nick Rawsthorne coming out of retirement.

Nick's return will just be a late option for him to have a chance to get back up to full speed and if he doesn't then nothing to lose by it.

Jake Maizen has been mentioned as signed by "The Game Caller" but Mick isn't exactly the most reliable of sources.
In fact he's more reliable to being on the source these days.

JM would be a cracking signing if true though so hope we've pulled it off.

I think mick is right on this one , usually when he throws a speculator out there he gets called out by Matt shaw , ie widdop , luckley etc , he hasn’t done this time whilst calling him out for fev signing rumours on the same day https://twitter.com/m_shaw1/status/1594 ... 9TULZx6RRw . Also Jake maizens instagram activity shows him following Halifax along with his girlfriend, mum and brother, also recently added walmsey, king and tangata , I suspect king (his Italian teammate) and walmsey add some influence in his decision ( potential decision) to join fax .

Mick was also the one who reported the doro signing , so he does get some right .

Hopefully our resident insider @CraigDavid will be along soon to keep us updated. He's mates with the old directors don't you know.

JM certainly has a step and some after burners and can play in any of the back line positions.
A few highlights from his 2018 / 19 season in Aus.

Yes watched them , he’s got electric pace and plays centre wing and fb , him tibbs n walmsey and that’s some serious pace in the backs .

Looks a big lad for a back - and that's the formula (or one of them) that Leigh used last season.

For HuddShay's info: same kitchen table brew as last time, mate. :DRUNK:

So joe martin has decided to call it a day. I was not overly impressed when we signed him especially with us having alex walker on trial who for me is a far better player and letting him leave and saying we didn't need another fullback and then we signed joe. To be fair to joe he tried his best whatever position he was asked to play and wouldn't of cost the club much so good luck to the lad for the future.
