Tend to agree regarding saving more. However spaffing gazillions up the wall on foreigners makes me a tad more sympathetic to our own people.

It's part of a wider problem giving our money away all over the globe when it should be spent on our own

It's utterly trivial compared to the real issues facing our country: low if not negative growth, low investment, low productivity and vast wealth inequality.

No the stuff that has real genuine value, measured in government budget or impact on the economy or impact on people's earnings.
Getting bogged down in fabricated culture wars and misleading trivia is what the Tories and their friends in the press did for the past eight years rather than working to improve people's lives.
