What I don't get on here is - all you lefties wanted Corbyn so bad and his manifesto would have changed this country in a massive way. Yet you wine and moan when the Tories want to restate the status quo - you cannot have it both ways. Maybe its just because its Boris and Cummings?

There has always been conflicts between the civil service and ministers - in the past the minister has usually backed down or gone - now the government are saying enough is enough - we run the country not you. Nobody likes the House of Lords and unelected body having influence, the civil service is exactly the same.

One man's conflict is another man's debate.

You honestly think the Conservatives are capable of radical change? We'll be getting the status quo, it'll just be gift wrapped with a blue bow. All this posturing and arm waving from them is just to make it look like they're doing something. You can gurantee that by 2025, nothing much will have changed.

Do we want evolution or revolution - change for changes sake is pointless. I fail to see how nationalising RM adds any value - what is the issue with the service they provide? RLB has become obsessed with green issues - until changes are made in China/India etc nothing will improve - so we make ourselves less competitive - Heathrow runway 3 an example - for what - self gratification!!

Depends of how you measure well being - it isn't all about more money - but that is a bit beyond your comprehension.

Slightly off thread, why would anybody want to bring Royal Mail under government control. What’s so special about a company that delivers mail and parcels. As sub contractors more or less in the construction industry we are virtually paper free. Everything is done online , however we get parcels from various companies including Royal Mail . So Royal Mail aren’t particularly unique.

If the RM was such a bad business why would anyone want to buy it just to lose money.
