Really pleased we retained Tindall. We’ve had some hard working wingers in recent years but he’s the first for a bit that is hard working and has electric pace. BHH is a good re-signing. I think he started slow but really built into the season. O Bearne I thought was a little bit hit and miss but he was carrying a knock for most of the season. If that has cleared up and with better players around I think he could really push on. So who else is there? Bienek is the obvious one but I’m pretty sure Full time is no good for him. Walker has done loads for the club and has had good games in last few seasons especially in our play off run in 2023 but I wonder if his race is run. Lovell had a strong season this year but I think he may be another for whom full time is no good. Possibly Curtis Davis who did surprisingly well and played in every game I think unless the position is already covered. I can see Porter staying as well but Worthington is another victim of the part time cull I think.Webster Mansfield was good but I think we feel he’s left which is a shame but there’s only so big the squad can be.

We can add Elliot Wallis to the list. He has signed for 2026, as was rumoured.

Croft from Wakefield too.  Seems to have played half their games last year so should look good for us given how well Wakefield played.

Lovell back on PT contract. Great news. Thought he played well last season and will add continuity. Basically it looks like we have a really strong squad. If they can gel quickly we look in good shape for the new season. The only dark clouds are that whether the Championship winners can get promoted/ whether it’s possible to get enough IMG points to get promoted is still very much up in the air. Also the 1895 cup doesn’t appear to be being played at Wembley on CC final day so not sure it’s even taking place this year which is just typical as we have a real chance of winning it.
