It's very sad and whoever it was that tackled him must be in a really bad place at the moment. I hope everyone involved is getting lots of support. Heartbreaking for the family. RIP.
Although not a death, an amateur player in the Midlands team Sherwood Wolf Hunt has been seriously injured. Francis Appleton had to have spinal surgery after suffering an injury during their game against Telford Raiders at the weekend. Very difficult for him and his family too at this time.
Norths Devils player Francis Molo has been cited over his tackle on James Ackerman, who died as a result of an on-field injury on Monday. He never regained consciousness and died in hospital.
