| I can't believe there is no thread for one of the biggest games in our recent history and after showing the best form of our recent history for sure!?
Saint Helens do us the ultimate favour in not selecting superstar loanee George Whitby which is a MASSIVE shot in the arm and a lot of York heads will go doing on seeing that, no doubt.
2 highly winnable games ahead for me and a solid chance to ram it down the throat of the RFL so COME ON FAX!!!!
Do us, and yourselves proud boys, leave it ALL on the pitch is all we can ask.

| Surprised but delighted Whitby is with us again this week- if JWH had been available I would have played same team - as it is would be disappointed if we didn't just bring in Joufrett or Hanson instead. I know we've also got Ruan on DR but don't see how you can make changes to last week's team unless it's to cover for injuries. Really looking forward to it!

| Slightly frustrating way to end the season - in a way felt a bit like Oldham in reverse with us having lots of initial pressure without having the guile to break through and then conceding a try against the run of play. The loss of Tangata and early injury to Cowan made a big difference as the pack then didn't have the size to match Oldham - as a result their halves were much more effective. Felt for Jouffret especially if that was his last game for Fax - he's given fantastic service to Halifax, but he never really got into the game and was exposed defensively on several critical occasions- again the loss of JWH made a big difference. I know there are rumoured to be big changes next year - really hoping without any real confidence that we can hang onto Douglas and Nofoaluma who as often been the case were superb last night. Only watched on TV but was really impressed by fantastic Fax travelling support who made more noise than York fans right up until the end. Overall a much better season than we had any right to expect- now it's over we can presumably expect to see how next season squad is likely to shape up - already got my season ticket - let's hope the optimism generated gives sales a real boost to help support recruitment.

| York looked physically stronger than us in the early collision we missed Adam due to injury before the game and Cowen soon after coming on. LJ had what must be his worst ever game in all departments which sadly contributed largely to the loss and after getting back into the game at 22-18 a sloppy Inman high tackle gave another free gift chance to score. Big turn over of players for next season so interest now turns to recruitment, 2026 and beyond.

| Yep, York just about deserved the victory but with a bit more composure Fax could have won that game. A pretty good season though and a special mention to the Fax fans, they created a fantastic atmosphere and showed that given a fair crack of the whip the interest is still there for Rugby League in Halifax. Up The Fax!
