   Saints End Drought, Masterful Wigan and FC Slay the Wolves - Round 15, Round Up

After last weekends stunning Tetley’s Challenge Cup victory over the Bradford Bulls the Broncos were brought crashing back to earth by a rampant Wigan Warriors as round fifteen of Superleague, the eve of the Magic Weekend, once again sprung a few surprises.

Castleford, under the new leadership of Daryl Powell, had a tough looking trip to the South of France; Warrington played host to a resurgent Hull FC at the Halliwell-Jones; and the Saints managed to halt a six game losing streak with a fight back win at the home of the Champions.

It was another exciting Superleague weekend and we round up all the details here.
   Saints end losing ways with win at Leeds

Saints recovered from an early 16-0 deficit to end their five match losing streak with a victory in the first Monday night fixture of the season.

Nathan Brown’s side forced two second-half tries with intense kick pressure and confirmed what could be a season changing win six minutes from time through youngster, Luke Thompson.
   Hull hold out to win at Warrington

Hull FC gave their best performance of the season in an enthralling 26-16 victory over the Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Despite the return of Wolves captain Lee Briers a second-half fight back from the black and whites gave the Hull side a well-earned two points in a game dominated by strong defensive efforts from both teams.

NO doubt some of you will not want me to write about the proposed restructuring of Super League, just because I’m Australian.

   Twelve man Huddersfield hold off to make the last eight

Huddersfield held off last season’s finalists, Leeds to progress into the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup despite having a man sent off.

21 year-old centre, Joe Wardle scored a first half try to help his side establish a two try lead but knew his fate after sending three punches to the head of Carl Ablett.

   Vikings Vanquish Saints as Wolves Maul the Giants - Round 14, Round Up

The half-way round of Superleague XVIII proved as unpredictable as the British weather as Saints, Catalans and Hull KR found to their cost.

While the fight for top spot continues with gusto, the tussle to avoid the 2013 wooden spoon is also hotting up.

It was points a plenty as we saw sixty-six tries across our seven Superleague matches over a very busy weekend.
