   Extraordinary Discount for Super League Grand Final

With less than four months to go until the 2013 Super League Grand Final kicks-off at Old Trafford on Saturday October 5, Rugby League fans are being given the chance to purchase tickets for the title decider at a discounted rate.

Throughout June, fans can get £5 off all £30, £35, £40, £50 and £60 tickets for the 2013 season title decider.
   Kingstone Press Championship One Round Up: Round Eight

North Wales Crusaders' 100-per-cent record in Championship One came to end as they fell to an 18-10 defeat at Hemel Stags.

The sides were level at 10-10 at the break, but after the restart the Stags stood strong as they shut out the best attacking outfit in the league.

LAST Friday night at the Parramatta-Sydney Roosters game, I was off for something greasy and disgusting to eat when I saw a familiar face.

Round eighteen of Superleague 2013 saw us ten games out from the play-offs with places and pride still to play for.

Doncaster pulled off the shock of the Kingstone Press Championship season so far - going to Post Office Road and coming away with all three points against Featherstone.

Stewart Sanderson scored two tries in the last ten minutes, and kicked four goals, to guide the Dons to a 36-24 victory.
   Robins fight back to topple on form Giants

A second-half fight back from Hull Kingston Rovers gave them a deserved 35-28 victory over the Huddersfield Giants at MS3 Craven Park.

The Robins stormed into a 10-0 lead after tries from man of the match Travis Burns and Alex Brown but the found themselves 22-16 down at half time after two tries from Leroy Cudjoe and further scores from Joe Wardle Shaunt Lunt.
   SYRIAN CRISIS FAILS TO HALT LEBANESE SCHOOLS FINAL

Beirut’s St. Joseph’s School has been crowned 2013 Lebanon GMEA Champions after a 36-6 victory against northerners Namouzaj Public School. Even getting the match on was a triumph considering the prevailing security situation that has locked down many parts of Tripoli, as the Syrian crisis continues to spill into and affect Lebanon.

The visitors managed to travel but they were unable to replicate the form that saw them take out the GMEA North School Championship the previous week, and were ultimately outscored by seven tries to one.
   Wigan win in one point thriller at Widnes

Wigan extended their winning run to thirteen games thanks to Scott Taylor whose first club try secured a 33-32 win.

The Young Warriors side, of which an astonishing 14 of 17 players came through the academy had to hold on in a nail biting finish when Patrick Ah Van scoring a hatrick just two minutes from time.
   Halifax New York Day and Scott Murell Re-signed

Championship giants Halifax RLFC announced during a club meeting this week that they have launched a special initiative in a bid to bring a fresh atmosphere to The Shay stadium.

Club directors Tony Abbott and Ian Croad announced to a packed audience in The Shay’s banqueting suite that they have named their next home fixture against Whitehaven as ‘THE BIG APPLE DAY’, which will be a summer family fun day for their fans to enjoy.

As well as providing entertainment for all ages throughout the afternoon, the initiative will culminate in the club giving away a three night holiday to New York for two lucky fans in the crowd. Everybody who purchases a ticket for the game will receive a free ‘golden ticket’ entry into the prize draw, which will be conducted at half-time of the Championship fixture.
   Giants do the double over Saints

Huddersfield Giants withstood a late fightback from St Helens at the John Smith Stadium to hold on to a 25-16 win.

The home side raced into an 18-0 lead through Aaron Murphy, Joe Wardle and Dale Ferguson, and had a number of tries disallowed as they looked to put the game to bed at half time.
