The draw for the second round of the 2016 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup took place last night at RAF Coningsby.
The home teams were drawn by 1998 Challenge Cup & Lance Todd Trophy winner Mark Aston and the away teams were drawn by John Kear, who coached Sheffield Eagles to Challenge Cup victory in 1998 and Hull FC in 2005.
Underbank Rangers were handed an away fixture against Kells after they defeated 2015 treble-winners Leigh Miners Rangers at the weekend. Northumbria University will play Siddal in the second round following a successful trip to Aberdeen on Saturday beating the Warriors 42-16 in Scotland’s first-ever Challenge Cup game.
Eighteen clubs drawn from the community and University game will be looking to progress to the third round when all 15 Kingstone Press League 1 teams enter the competition. All second round games will be played over the weekend of February 13-14.

The second round ties will be played over the weekend of February 13-14.
