St Helens' half-back, Jonny Lomax will miss Wednesday's International Origin match against the Exiles after sustaining an injury in Friday's late win over Hull KR.

Lomax was set to appear in Steve McNamara's side after impressing in the Knights set-up, but was yesterday ruled out after the extent of his rib injury was confirmed.

The 21 year-old, a product of Orrell St James' amateur club, was set to play for England in last autumn's Four Nations but was sidelined after picking up an ankle injury in Saints' Grand Final loss to Leeds.

Steve McNamara has called up Hull KR hooker, Josh Hodgson to replace Lomax in his 19 man squad although he is expected to miss out when the squad is scaled down to 17 tomorrow.
