Wigan Warriors forward, Gareth Hock has failed in his appeal against a two match suspension handed to him after an incident which occured in Wigan's win over St Helens at the Etihad on Sunday.

Hock was one of three sent off by Ben Thaler and was yesterday handed a ban by the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

However, the 28 year old felt the punishment was harsh so appealed against the severity of the sentence but his appeal was dismissed and he was ordered to pay a futher £200 fine for contesting the suspension.

He will now miss Wigan's trip to Leeds alongside Chris Tuson and Lee Mossop who were also suspended after the same incident. He will also miss out on Wigan's trip to Montepellier to face Catalan the week after.
