We could probably have Lam in post by the Cas game, could see Beaumont getting annoyed if he agrees to join us and let him go immediately

Degsy and his entourage on holiday in leopard print, judging by social media.

Looks really classy.

Anyone else heard Litten going on loan to York with Pele?

Haven't heard but it would be a sensible move. He showed promise last season but seems to have backwards. Hopefully the experience will do him good if it happens.

Litten needs regular games and a championship move would suit both parties . On the coaching issue , Lam is 4th best win ratio whilst Rowley was way back in 10th I think according to SL Raw .

It all seems to have gone a bit quiet of the investment news front at the moment although given the frantic month we have had this could change even as I type this! Has there been any further whispers on who it might be (I think most of us are presuming Thirkill)? And how far along it is?

Could be a smart move. He wasn't even playing for our reserves at one point this season. Has that changed? Either way, some regular game time down in the championship would be good for his development.

Bit contradictory saying the new coach has a "blank canvas" but we've also signed Asiata, hardaker, Holmes and potentially Satae and Abdul. Not sure I can be bothered with next year being the usual "the new coach needs to get his own team in place" lines that we like to trot out to justify underperformance again

Ask yourself would Myler be here if the takeover/Investment wasnt from his father in law via his daughter
The answer is no
Saying the coach has a blank canvas when he has already brought in Briscoe,Hardaker,Holmes and the strong rumour about Abdul how naive is that.

He wouldn't, but likewise we wouldn't be clearing out some no hopers and we wouldn't be signing anyone of note for next season and beyond. Myler won't be perfect but myler plus cash is a whole lot better than clarkey and Pearson with no cash

For my mind with not being successful in getting the deal for Rowley done I think the ideal Coach for us now would be one that is not currently involved in the UK game. Due to the state of our recruitment and retention and the clean slate needed I feel an Australian Coach would be the way to go particularly as they'd be more likely to come with modern coaching methods for the modern game and also have a greater knowledge of players in the systems there that would greatly improve the standard of quota players.

I honestly don't think there are any standouts in the UK game that would really give us what the club needs. If we have some serious investment then use it wisely and on the important pieces and for me that starts with a top Coach.

I know its not that simple as top Coaches are not just sat on a shelf but it needs sorting sooner rather than later. I had heard Gleason could be an assistant to the next Head Coach in 2025 but don't know if that is genuine or not.

I also think we are fishing in the wrong pond for a coach and that we should be looking overseas.
Apart from Asiata there is no logic in the signings Myler has made before a new coach is appointed, especially if they are on two year contracts.
Asiata was a statement signing and Myler should have used this selling the club to available coaches and players in Australia and NZ
Gaz Ellis is now back and who better to accompany Myler as he was one who was sold the dream before joing the club in front of several other top teams.
The overseas signings are the ones that will get us back to be a competitive team not the likes of Briscoe,Hardaker and Holmes so if we have money available and several quota spots then lets start to show some ambition and make this club great again
